WARMI THE PROJECT

 

WARMI – means Woman in Quechua dialect – says the Director of Totem visual arts, Alejandra Reyes-González  This art exhibition has been organized to continue to present the diversity of the women artists of the contemporary society. Is an art exhibition dedicated to talented women artists.

WARMI aims to be performed every year since 2013 with the first art exhibition “Woman multicultural mediator” as Warmi Italy and then Women artist in Wimbledon and Celebrating Arts as Warmi UK and meant to do a yearly Edition.

Warmi Italy: Donna Mediatrice Multiculturale.

Is a collective exhibition encompassing various disciplines such as, painting, photography and sculpture, and highlights the importance of the female role in our society. Particularly, in this opportunity as a mediator, a transmitter among different cultures, living and interacting in a multicultural society. It’s took place at Antico Oratorio della Passione di Sant’Ambrogio in Milan, Italy. The Oratorio is in itself a masterpiece by the renowned architect Solari and dates from the second half of 1400, where Renaissance Art and frescoes by Bernardino Luini and his school come together; a historical place which intermingles the beauty of the frescoes and the magnificence of the Basilica di Sant’Ambrogio.

Warmi UK. Women artist in Wimbledon.

Is a collective exhibition encompassing various disciplines such as, painting, photography and sculpture, and highlights the importance of the female role in our society. Artists from various countries had been participated such as Colombia, France, Iran and Italy. Particularly, in this opportunity the exhibition took place at the contemporary art gallery Norman Plastow, named after the architect who designed it. The gallery holds regular exhibitions by local and international artist throughout the year in one of the most prestigious and dynamic areas like Wimbledon Village. London, United Kingdom.
